Ansylo Equine Massage Therapy - Help your Horses Wellbeing

Assessment

I use various physical assessments to ensure the asymmetry of your horse. I use PTD (pen test diagnostics) alongside stress points to gain information on any problems arising from the skeletal and muscular system.

Techniques used:

Effleurage, petrissage,tapotment.

Trigger pointing may also be used to release and drain any toxic buildup within the tissue.

Full body massage

This is followed on from the assessment. This involves using techniques aimed at reducing pain, healing and recovery, restoring normal tissue, increasing joint range of motion, and reducing stress through relaxation.

Therapeutic Massage

Our therapeutic massage is designed to relieve pain and tension in the muscles and connective tissues. Relieves muscle spasm, improves circulation.  I use a variety of techniques to help your horse feel better and improve their overall well-being.

Pre-competition

This aims to prepare your horse's muscles for heavy/competition work, taking around 10-20 minutes. It is used to warm up muscle tissue, increase circulation and mentally prepare the horse for activity, enhancing alertness and readiness for performance.

Target muscle therapy

This uses specific techniques like deep tissue massage, myofascial release, and trigger point therapy to address specific areas of muscle tension, pain, or restriction. The overall goal is to improve performance, enhance recovery, and aid rehabilitation.

Reiki

Our Reiki massage is designed to promote healing and balance in the body, mind, and spirit. Our therapists use a gentle touch or hold their hands slightly above the body to channel healing energy to the recipient.

Post event treatment

This encourages the muscles to recover more quickly by releasing and loosening tight muscles. Helps the removal of lactic acid and metabolic byproducts and alleviates muscle soreness.
